A very quiet morning recorded 5th march at 09:00 am in fife, scotland. There was hardly any wind which is unusual here at the coast. So it was easy to record with my olympus ls-12 and rycote windshield.

This dawn thunderstorm was emitting regular, though unusually quiet rolling thunder as it passed over. A bird chirps nearby throughout and a neighbour's wind chimes ring occasionally. Recorded using a zoom h2.
Quiet atmosphere in any galician spring night: song of scops owl (otus scops), crickets, any frog specie, cats fight and dog barking, song of barn owl (tyto alba), people speak and continuous background sound of a distant factory.
Walking through the streets of central gothenburg to record urban sounds, i happen across a construction site. I walk past it and onwards to record footsteps on the pavement and eventually some light traffic and trams. Recorded with iaudio x5 internal mic.

The rumbling roar of an approaching freight train then the whistle and passing cars. Some good screeching from the metal. The train passes and fades. Recorded pretty close but with trees in between.
The assorted sounds of a recycling center warehouse. Recorded nearest the can sorter, where the aluminum and steel containers are tumbled. Also background hum from blowers and the forklift, which beeps as it backs. This sample contains more blower and less cans.
Territorial carpenter bee (also referred to as a bumble bee) busy working away at wood. The buzz varies from the gnawing worker sound to the aggressive flying buzz used when trying to intimidate invaders into the bee's space. Background urban sounds: traffic hum and songbirds.
Yellow jackets -- small black-and-yellow north american wasps -- flying around a camera and stinging it. Captures the sounds of their flight, buzzing, and tapping at the mechanism to sting it. Although some distance from the road, there is some background from passing vehicles.
